Trekking Peaks : Opened for Trekking
For the more adventurous traveler, there are existing 18 minor peaks and newly categorized 15 peaks opened for climbing under Nepal Mountaineering Association. The climbing of these peaks is controlled under the rules and regulations formulated by the Association. It should be noted that in most cases the climbing of these minor peaks (Trekking Peaks) require snow and ice climbing experience, safety and expected successes. By Himalayan standards these are considered minor peaks, but in fact some of then provide relatively challenging snow and ice climbing of high standard, and more so in Winter. The peak climbing fee for a group are as follows:

- If there are more than 12 members in a group, new permit should require.

Garbage Deposit for trekking peaks:
As per recent decision from Nepal Mountaineering Associations, US$ 250 shall be applicable for garbage deposit for all trekking peaks. The deposit will be return back to the climbing group after necessary verification of environmental formality during the climbing. This rule comes to force from autumn 2002.
- The permit is valid for the period of one month only. The maximum number of the group size will be 12 pax.
- For extension the permission, an additional 25% charge of the total amount of the initial fee will be made for each extra week.
- The leader or climbing member of the team must collect the permit in person from Nepal Mountaineering Association.
- Each climbing team will be permitted with the written application form, indicating a partner trekking agency whom registered to the HMG and NMA and accompanied by a sirdar/guide, who must be registered with NMA.
